The Diminished Scale  One of the keys to sounding great on dominant chords

 

 

The symmetry of diminished Scales and how it can help you memorize them quickly. Also, the sam set of groups work if you start the diminished scale with a half step.

Throughout my career as an improviser I was never attracted to using diminished scaled in  my lines.  Recently though I have noticed I needed a lot more color when playing over dominant chords.   Adding diminished  scales to my improvisational bag of tricks has really helped out my playing.
